A Bit About Us
Dorothy Gautreaux, Principal Designer
Dorothy has been married for 19 years and is a mom to 2 spirited kids. She has been a business owner and working in the creative field for 18 years. Dorothy started her successful photography business a year before graduating college with an art degree. At some point during her 125+ wedding career, couples started commissioning her to create wedding gallery walls in their homes. This was the beginning of her desire to improve homes beyond her photography. It was then that Dorothy founded Gautreaux Interiors. She has always had a strong creative instinct, "I love turning clients' needs and ideas into beautiful, personalized, functional and creative design solutions." She loves mixing styles and helping her clients achieve harmony despite often having a different style than their partner. Dorothy strongly believes that how your home makes you feel affects you greatly. Changing your home can be stressful and overwhelming. She and her design group are here to change that. "It's taken a long time and lots of hard work to build this dream team but we have done all the legwork so that you don't have to."
Heather Devers, Designer
Heather has been married for 16 years and has two amazing kids. She has loved interior design since she was a child. Heather says "I was the kid always rearranging my room to make it look just right. I did this to friends' rooms during sleepovers, I was a big hit with parents." With a degree in journalism, her first job was working as an editor for D Home. There she learned the importance of visual storytelling and was taught the art of home styling. Creativity has always been the cornerstone of Heather's career whether it's styling photo shoots, writing, or creative direction – interior design has always remained her passion. "Now that I have a family, I've learned that creating a beautiful and functional space with kids can be tricky. When you figure it out, it's pure magic."
Hannah Kaplan, Design Assistant
Hannah loves to travel the world with her pilot husband of 6 years. She earned a degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where she studied graphic design. There she gained an understanding of proportions and layouts that she applies towards interiors. Hannah's appreciation for a variety of interior design styles and her experience helping others with their home furnishings led to her position as a design assistant. She is a great asset to the team, providing support on all client projects.
